Our birthing center features state-of-the-art labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum (LDRP) rooms, with continuous, personalized care from our cross-trained nurses and obstetric specialists. Our labor and delivery services
Located on the third floor of our hospital, we have many features to ensure you receive safe pregnancy and childbirth care.
Our birthing facility provides various maternity services, including:
- Five labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum suites
- 12 postpartum rooms
- Dedicated surgical suite for cesarean-section deliveries
- Level I nursery
- Anesthesia providers available for pain relief during labor

Free childbirth classes with Birthly
We are proud to offer free childbirth classes through Birthly, which utilize an evidence-based curriculum taught by certified and experienced educators. Each class provides dedicated time for Q&A and is offered at convenient times to suit your schedule. These easy-to-access small group sessions will help you feel prepared for the birth of your baby.
Our classes include:
- Early pregnancy preparations (1.5 hours)
- Prenatal education bootcamp (two 2.5 hour classes)
- Breastfeeding (2 hours)
- Newborn care (2 hours)

NICU at UT Health Tyler
In the event your baby is born prematurely or needs special care, our NICU provides skilled medical and nursing staff care for infants aged at least 32 weeks. Our board-certified neonatologists lead a specialized team of nurses, obstetric specialists, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, dietitians, social workers and other caregivers in providing the best care available for your baby.
