About Ruben Garcia MD, FACS

Ruben Garcia, MD, FACS, is a board-certified urologist for UT Health East Texas Physicians in Athens, Palestine and Kaufman. Garcia decided 30 years ago that he wanted to provide urological care to an underserved area. “I am inspired by the diversity of our patients and their urological conditions.”

Garcia desires to provide state-of-the-art urological care to East Texas in a compassionate way. “In my opinion, urology is the best and most gratifying surgical specialty.”

Dr. Garcia is employed as a clinical faculty physician at The University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.
