Dr. Buttram asked me questions about my history and who had diagnosed me with asthma, explaining that I had been misdiagnosed years ago and that my issues are brought on by my digestive system and snoring problems of which he is referring me to 2 specialists to resolve. We recently moved to East Texas and I was absolutely impressed with Dr. Buttram. He was very knowledgeable and informative. He was also very patient and caring towards my daughter.

I was very impressed with the time and patience he took to listen to our concerns and come up with a treatment plan that felt feasible and helpful vs just passing her off on someone else. He didn't push a specific treatment, and allowed us to contribute to the plan. I was VERY impressed we have that level of care in Tyler. We're used to having to go to Dallas to get that type of care for her!

I'm super bummed that he's not a primary care physician because he's the BEST doctor I've ever come across and my allergy issues probably aren't going to require consistent visits with him. Dr. Buttram is so wonderful In all ways and he explained things to me In the ways that matched my level of healthcare knowledge instead of just "dumbing it down." I like to be told the statistics, causes, and possibilities of my potential diagnosis and he did that very well. He's transparent about everything and I never felt pressured to go with any specific treatment route over the other. Dr. Buttram is very gentle with examinations and he pays attention to detail for any concerning signs. He also let me ask about being a physician which I appreciate SO much and there was not one moment where I felt like I was being rushed out.

Yes Dr. Buttram was so patient with my four kids that were with me and so sweet to my 7 year old son. He took his time, made me feel so heard, welcomed and valued. I loved that he included all my kids and even re-explained things even as my 2 year old was screaming on the floor. He was so kind and sweet to my 3 and 5 year old girls. I highly recommend him to all families.

Dr Buttram is phenomenal. I waited 30 minutes to see him but he stayed for a whole 45 minutes and discussed every detail about what symptoms are, what my main issue is, and the plan moving forward. I choose my health care insurance based upon whether Dr. Buttram is in their network. That should tell you how highly I regard him. He and his NP has done more for me than my previous allergists and pulmonologist. My lungs are functioning well now and we never thought they'd even get up to normal again. I am getting off of medicines because I'm breathing so much better now! Truly amazing!
