M. Shawn Gonter, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant who specialized in orthopedics at UT Health East Texas Physicians in Tyler. He orginally found interest in medicine while serving as a special forces medic. “After getting out, it was only logical to pursue a career in a field I already loved.” Between his military and civilian careers, Gonter has over 28 years of medical experience.
Working closely with patients has always been a priority for him. “My care philosophy is to tret all my patients as if they are family or friends, that way I know they will always receive my undivided attention and the best care I can provide.”
