About Jasmine Douglas, MD, DABOM
“My care philosophy centers on compassion, evidence-based practice and humility. As an addiction medicine physician, I strive to meet patients where they are, creating a nonjudgmental space that empowers sustainable medical and personal change, particularly for individuals navigating substance use or chronic health challenges,” said Dr. Douglas.
“I was drawn to health care to advocate for individuals and families who face barriers within traditional systems, addressing both medical and social needs in underserved communities. My work emphasizes addiction and obesity medicine with a particular interest in nutrition as a tool for recovery and holistic lifestyle interventions. I offer individualized integrative care plans that reduce stigma, support families and promote sustainable recovery.
“I chose to specialize in addiction medicine after seeing how deeply behavioral health challenges affect entire families. My goal is to bring hope, resources and equity to populations that often lack access to comprehensive care, focusing on community-rooted strategies for recovery and maternal health. As a family physician, I am committed to collaborating across specialties to ensure whole-person care that fosters lasting resilience.”
Dr. Douglas is employed as a clinical faculty physician at The University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.
