Tonya Youngblood, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who practices at UT Health East Texas Physicians in Pittsburg. Dr. Youngblood explains how patients have to go back to the basics of eating a balanced diet and getting adequate sleep and exercise in order to maintain their health. After these basics, she encourages patients to continue seeing their primary care provider for annual preventive exams and testing to maintain good health. Dr. Youngblood also conducts Department of Transportation (DOT) Physical Exams.

I was there to establish care to me means yearly physical. The doctor only listened to my heart and lungs and looked at a rash I have. I have a very complex medical history and want a provider that has time to listen to it and then decide what recommendations for referrals and treatment course should be.

Seeing Dr Youngblood was not a choice. It was required as part of the outpatient cardiac rehab commitment to see her once a month. It Is obvious Dr Youngblood is tuned out as to all the medical history or even why we had the appointment. Appearing so unaware of the patient would be the reason I would not recommend her. She comes across as someone who simply checks the box and the patient is simply a number.
