About Jason Buckaloo, PA-C
Jason Buckaloo, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant at the UT Health East Texas Orthopedic Institute. He brings nearly 25 years of dedicated public service to his medical practice, having served first in the military and later in law enforcement, including time on SWAT and K9 units. For him, transitioning to medicine was a natural continuation of that lifelong calling to serve others. Following years of invaluable clinical experience in emergency medicine, he chose to focus on orthopedics to make a tangible, personal impact on his patients’ daily lives by providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages.
“I want every patient to know I am genuinely invested in them as a person, not just as a diagnosis,” Jason said. “People often come to us hurting, anxious, and looking for answers. My job is to ensure they leave with a clear understanding of what is going on, a concrete plan, and the confidence that someone on their team truly cares about their outcome.”
In addition to his medical training as a physician assistant, he holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Exercise Science. This unique educational background gives him an advanced perspective on human biomechanics and how the body moves, functions, and heals, which directly influences his comprehensive approach to patient recovery and musculoskeletal health.
When he is outside of the clinic, Buckaloo is a dedicated husband and proud father of three who enjoys strength training and spending time with his family. Staying active himself keeps him personally connected to what it means to help his patients regain their mobility and get their lives back.
