About LeAnn Calvin APRN, AGACNP-BC

LeAnn Calvin, APRN, AGACNP-BC, is a Board-Certified nurse practitioner who sees patients at the UT Health East Texas Digestive Disease Center in Tyler. Calvin found her calling in healthcare after working as a nurse’s aide at a nursing home in high school. “I found I really liked helping the residents and decided to pursue nursing as a career. After working as a bedside nurse for 20 years, I was encouraged to pursue advanced practice nursing. 

“I believe education and affordability are most important when it comes to healthcare. Patients must understand their diagnosis as well as the necessary treatments. Then it is my job to ensure that the options I present are affordable.”

When not at work, Calvin enjoys spending time with her husband and their fur babies, quilting and traveling in their camper.
