About D. Brent Kerns, MD
“I have proudly served the Tyler, Texas community for the past 30 years, delivering high-quality care for a wide range of vascular diseases,” Dr. Kerns said. “My clinical expertise encompasses carotid artery stenosis, peripheral artery disease of the upper and lower extremities, aneurysms at all locations, end-stage renal disease access, vasculitis and venous and lymphatic disorders. Throughout my career, I have been particularly dedicated to limb salvage, employing the latest techniques to preserve and restore blood flow and function, helping patients avoid amputation and maintain their quality of life.
“I offer both comprehensive medical management and a full spectrum of minimally invasive and open surgical treatments,” he added. “These include diagnostic ultrasound, angiography, angioplasty, atherectomy, catheter-directed therapies, embolectomy, thrombectomy, stenting, stent grafting and hybrid procedures that integrate endovascular techniques with open surgery when needed. My practice philosophy centers around delivering compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s unique needs, ensuring the best possible outcomes and long-term vascular health.”
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Kerns enjoys reading and traveling.
Dr. Kerns is employed as a clinical faculty physician at The University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.
