About Jennie Zheng, MD
Jennie Zheng, MD, is a family medicine physician at UT Health East Texas Physicians on the West Loop in Tyler. Dr. Zheng is interested in pediatrics, adolescent medicine, adult medicine and geriatrics. Seeing patients five years and older allows her to care for the whole family and build long-term relationships in her community.
Dr. Zheng chose healthcare because she wanted to give back to the community and broaden her scope of knowledge. She finds good listening skills are important when treating her patients. Her favorite quote, “Listen to your patient, he is telling you the diagnosis.” resonates with her clinical practice.
Outside of work, Dr. Zheng enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, outdoor activities and exploring good food. In addition to English, Dr. Zheng is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, Fujianese and knows basic Spanish.
Dr. Zheng is employed as a clinical faculty physician at The University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.
