About Glena Davis DO

Glena Davis, DO, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist at UT Health East Texas Physicians in Henderson and Carthage whose healthcare philosophy stems from her experience as a patient while she was a young mother-to-be.

“With my first child I never saw the physician, only a nurse practitioner. When it came time to deliver, the physician was a man who I had never met. I remember thinking, who is this person? It would be something that I continued to think about when I started practicing medicine. My patients deserve better and deserve to know the physician who will be caring for them when they are the most vulnerable. I do not always get to attend my patients’ deliveries, but I always make an effort to introduce them to my practice partners long before they enter the delivery room,” she said.

Dr. Davis believes that patient care is about more than just helping people. It includes treating patients with respect and addressing their concerns with compassion and education. “I am here for your health and to help you achieve the best quality of life for you and your baby.” 

Dr. Davis is fluent in Spanish. When not seeing patients, she enjoys spending time with her husband and children playing video games.

Dr. Davis is employed as a clinical faculty physician at The University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.
