“I provide comprehensive medical care that focuses on a child’s physical, emotional and mental well-being. Every patient is unique, and I strive to guide families with compassion, understanding and the most up-to-date medical information. Children represent the next generation that will shape the world, and it is my responsibility to keep them healthy so they can reach their fullest potential," said Dr. Ong. “My passion for healthcare comes from wanting to make a meaningful impact on children’s lives. Every day in pediatrics gives me the opportunity to improve a child’s health, support their growth and development and educate families to help their children thrive. Being a mother myself, I understand the challenges parents face and I am dedicated to addressing their concerns with empathy and insight. “I have dedicated most of my life to the field of pediatrics. Working with children has taught me the importance of humility, empathy, appreciation and respect. My areas of interest include newborn care, well and sick child visits, growth and development, nutrition, immunizations and adolescent health.” In addition to English, Dr. Ong is fluent in Tagalog and speaks basic Mandarin and Fookien. Dr. Ong is employed as a clinical faculty physician at The University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.
