About Daniel Rongo

“My care philosophy is rooted in respect, compassion and partnership with patients and their families,” Dr. Daniel Rongo said. “I believe everyone deserves a chance to be heard and understood and I strive to tailor each person’s care plan to their unique goals and values. I also want to serve as an advocate for my patients especially during their most challenging moments.”
Dr. Rongo chose a career in health care because he believes “there is no greater privilege than supporting people through their most vulnerable moments and helping to relieve their suffering.” He also has a passion for education and teaching which extends into his patient interactions. “I strive to ensure each person understands their diagnosis and treatment options,” he said.
Specializing in pulmonary, sleep and critical care medicine, Dr. Rongo treats adults 18 and older. “After completing my pulmonary and critical care training, I pursued additional training in sleep medicine because respiratory and sleep-related conditions often overlap,” he explained. His approach reflects a dedication to the complexity of each individual patient, emphasizing a comprehensive multidisciplinary strategy to deliver the highest quality care.
Dr. Rongo is employed as a clinical faculty physician at The University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.
