About Robert Smith MD, FACC
Having lost his father to a heart attack at a young age, Dr. Robert Smith’s passion for cardiology is personal. A desire to prevent others from having to suffer from heart disease propelled Dr. Smith through medical school at Texas Tech, where he was valedictorian, and on through his internship, residency and fellowships at Baylor University Medical Center. Dr. Smith marvels at how much cardiology has changed and improved since he joined Tyler CVC in 2001. “What we practice day in and day out has changed dramatically over the past 10 to 15 years,” he says. “It has really revolutionized the results we get. It’s incredible.”

Great doctor who shows real interest in knowing his patients
Dr Robert Smith did not rush through the appointment. He listened intently to my questions and was analytical In providing explanations regarding his plan. Very logical, easy to understand. I am very pleased and look forward to the results of tests he ordered.
The Doctor just do the routine check up listen to your chest and back then he asked me about the stress test. He said he will goo look but then henever come back . Then about 5 to 10 mins the assistant handing me the discharge paper . I ask her what Dr Smith said about the stress test . She went back and asked the Doctor. She came back and said its not ayear since it was done. Thats it no explaination about thd EKG no explaiination about the CAD thst found out that the reason I was in his clenic . I was frustrated .
Dr. Robert Smith is an excellent doctor and listens to your concerns and explains the results to you.
I really like and respect Dr. Smith. He is respectful to his patients and he’s kind. He will sit and talk with you and that is so important.
