About Nitin Kondamudi, MD
“I am a cardiac electrophysiologist at the UT Health East Texas Heart and Vascular Institute in Tyler. I care for adults with heart rhythm disorders, including atrial and ventricular arrhythmias. I perform complex catheter ablation procedures and implant advanced cardiac devices when needed. I completed advanced training in electrophysiology at the University of Washington, where I treated patients with complex and high-risk heart conditions. Before that, I trained at the UT Southwestern, serving as chief resident in internal medicine and completing cardiology fellowship training supported by a National Institutes of Health (NIH) T32 research grant. My work has been published in leading medical journals, including Circulation and JACC: Clinical Electrophysiology,” said Dr. Kondamudi.
“These experiences shaped my approach to medicine, which is grounded in service. I see being a physician as a calling to help others, and I strive to bring skill, compassion and humility to every patient visit with the goal of improving both health and peace of mind. I also believe the best care is delivered through teamworkโworking collaboratively with patients, families and the broader care team. I aim to partner with referring providers to ensure coordinated, seamless care. This approach guides how I treat patients every day. I care for adult patients and am comfortable speaking Spanish.”
