Tyler, Texas (February 27, 2023) — UT Health Tyler has been recognized for excellence with the Ardent Cup, the highest honor awarded by Ardent Health Services. UT Health Quitman also received honors with Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) Rob Terry named CNO of the Year.

Tyler, Texas — All UT Health East Texas Physicians clinics with the exception of those in Jacksonville, Henderson and Carthage will delay opening until 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, due to inclement weather. Clinics in in Jacksonville, Henderson and Carthage will open at the regularly scheduled time. Due to road conditions, the clinics in Gun Barrel City and Mt. UT Health Jacksonville nurse Cassi Wilburn receives DAISY Award

Jacksonville, Texas — Cassi Wilbur, RN, was selected by UT Health Jacksonville as a DAISY Award winner.

Nurses may be nominated by patients, families and colleagues, and Wilbur received a formal nomination from a coworker, Callie Jackson, RN.

In her nomination, Jackson described how she observed Wilbur take phenomenal care of a patient who arrived with a rapid heart rate to a crowded emergency room. Wilbur stayed with the patient while medication was administered, coaching her through what was happening and helping her to remain calm.

UT Health East Texas names CEO of Long-Term Acute Care, Rehabilitation Center

Tyler, Texas (January 27, 2023) — Tracy Vinciguerra has been named CEO for UT Health East Texas Long-Term Acute Care and UT Health East Texas Rehabilitation Center, effective Jan. 31, 2023.
