Athens, TX (October 9, 2019) - On Oct 14, UT Health Athens will expand its services to include outpatient IV infusion therapy, allowing patients to receive important treatment close to home. For those battling multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease and other conditions, this addition offers a more economical alternative to receiving treatment than on an inpatient basis.
"We will provide infusion therapy service for IV antibiotics and chronic diseases in a friendly, welcoming environment that is close to home," UT Health Athens CEO Scott Campbell said. "Our nurses and pharmacists have specialized training in IV infusion therapy and are focused on patient safety and comfort."
