Swing Bed program
The UT Health Quitman swing bed program is designed to help patients “swing” or transition from an acute hospitalization back to the community at the same level of independence and function they had prior to entering the hospital. The program allows patients to remain in the hospital, in the same room, with the same physician(s), nurses and hospital staff while continuing to heal and gain the strength needed to return home. Our focus is short-term rehabilitative services and/or less intensive medical care.
Through this program, we deliver high quality inpatient and outpatient services, reflecting our unmatched commitment to healthcare. We are a 25-bed healthcare complex specially designed to meet patient and family needs. UT Health Quitman offers the following services:
- 24-hour physician-staffed emergency department, designated a Level IV trauma center with a Level IV stroke center certification
- Fully equipped laboratory and radiology departments
- General and orthopedic surgery
