I accompanied my mother in law to her first appointment for breast cancer. Dr. Basile was a systematic and skilled physician. She knows what she is talking about. However, she did not assess for understanding as she explained the test results to me and my mother in law. I am a nurse practitioner. My mother in law did not understand her medical jargon and extensive vocabulary. When I advocated for my mother in law, Dr. Basile yelled at me & said, "Give me a CHANCE!" in front of my MIL and a resident and refused to give me a chance to translate what she was saying as a family member. I felt no sense of compassion from Dr. Basile. When my mother in law had the courage to tell her she did not understand her, she said, "Well, you should have stopped me." I have asked other family members to accompany my mother in law to her future appointments because I felt unsafe in a room with her on the first visit. I feel so hurt that this was our experience with Dr. Basile since others have had positive experiences with her...especially since she behaved this way in front of a resident.

Dr. Basile is a great doctor, she made me feel at ease. She's very patient,caring and intelligent. She is very through. She went over all of my records and explained in detail what was going on. She was very professional and she took her time, I didn't feel rushed at all which was very refreshing, I left her office feeling more empowered and confident! I would definitely recommend her. She is very experienced in her field and it shows in the way she treat her patients.

Dr. Basile LISTENED TO ME! She had all of my medical records, but she still wanted to hear what I had to say before she ordered tests and made decisions. When the test results were ready, she carefully explained what I needed to know and didn't rush me through my questions. I would highly recommend her.

We have been seeing Dr. Basile for a year now for our son blood issues. He also has numerous disabilities but she is so detailed in explaining everything and making sure you under what you are going through. I would give her a 10 for her kindness, professionalism, and making you feel you are her only patient that day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
