Mariana Ponce, MSN, APRN, AGNP-C, who is fluent in English and Spanish, is a board-certified adult-gerontology nurse practitioner. She sees patients at the UT Health East Texas Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Institute in Tyler.
She chose a career in healthcare because she wanted to make a difference in people’s lives and help them during tough times.
“My first job in healthcare was in orthopedics as a medical assistant. I fell in love with working with the adult/geriatric population -- helping them recover post operatively, improving their mobility and helping patients recover from fractures,” Mariana said. “I am committed to providing my patients with the best care, as well as working together to come up with a specific treatment plan that will meet their needs.”
When not seeing patients she enjoys traveling and trying new foods and restaurants.
