Karen Bowery, APRN, FNP-BC, is a family nurse practitioner with over 20 years of prior experience. Karen brings a deep understanding of healthcare to her practice. She began her career as a mental health provider, diagnosing and treating patients of all ages, from children to geriatrics, in the East Texas region.
Driven by her passion for primary care and internal medicine, Karen now focuses on treating adults and elderly patients. She manages both acute illnesses and complex chronic conditions such as diabetes, COPD, asthma, hypertension, congestive heart failure and thyroid disorders. Her commitment to individualized care and a holistic approach helps support better patient outcomes. Karen is dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care and tailoring treatments to meet the unique needs of her patients, striving for the best possible results.
Karen’s expertise covers specialty urology, including testosterone replacement, erectile dysfunction, overactive bladder, chronic UTIs and prostate cancer testing. In addition to internal medicine, she has experience in weight loss management, mental health, long-term care, rehabilitation, wound care and performs DOT exams.
