At 36 years old I was seriously thinking I wasn't going to be able to work for very much longer. When I finally got referred to pain management I expected 'here have some pain meds, have a good day.' I was way wrong. They actually did a 'pain interview.' Then said 'let's get some mris and see what's going on.' Hearing that yes, I actually did have physical damage and truly had an elevated level of pain was such a mental burden lifted. I asked if there was any non narcotic options, because I need to be present while on the job. There are so many options and it did take a few weeks to find what my body responded to best, but my career has skyrocketed and I am fully able to provide for my family. That was the most important thing for me. Thank you Dr Bolnick and team!

Dr B (as I fondly call him) saved my LIFE. I had a severe burn accident and was sent to him for pain management and he helped me transition into sobriety! I felt a little weird saying he "saved" my life until I read some of the reviews. It's true, he helps his patients and you feel that way. What I like most about Dr. Bolnick is his expertise in Addiction. When you get help, it's like you're freed from those shackles and the weight is lifted. What an experience!!! He's not an arrogant person either with all of his success. Humble, very. I think he's a man that loves every minute of precious life and doesn't waste one second on non-sensical things. My wife has suffered with chronic pain for many, many years after suffering from 3 failed back surgeries and 2 emergency abdominal blockages. What a blessing he has been. He was able to help my wife with the proper meds at the proper doses. A good portion of her quality of life has been restored and under control. I must clarify that I had a pain doctor previously for 6 years. Now that I am disabled and cannot afford PPO insurance, nor can even get PPO insurance, I am now on an HMO. My previous pain doctor no longer takes HMO. I started at this office needing a doctor to monitor my pain medications and pain levels. I have chronic pain syndrome, have had five surgeries on my right foot, including two toes amputated and one and a half inches cut out from the midfoot of my right foot and two 6-in screws embedded in that foot. My first visit to this doctor he was running an hour and a half late Whenever I went in I was in there about 5 minutes with the doctor. He never looked at my foot saw what I was talking about, just told me that he puts his patience on Lyrica. He took me off of all my pain meds and put me on Lyrica which had an adverse reaction! Boy did it ever! I tried for almost 2 weeks to get somebody to respond and was told that if my pain was that bad to go to the emergency room. Finally I called and talked to the office manager who was absolutely wonderful! Both she and the scheduling supervisor were wonderful! They told me to come back in and see the doctor again and see if they could take the time that I would need. My next visit was so much better! I was able to show the doctor my scars, which are quite gross! I've never had a pain specialist ask me "what do you want me to do for you?". That was so odd! Normally when I went to my old pain doctor we discussed how my previous month had gone and how I was feeling and doing. Then if he needed to change my meds he would. At no time did he ask me what do I want. This doctor asked me if I was so comfortable with my previous doctor why I didn't go back to him. I told him I couldn't afford to pay out of pocket to see the previous doctor or I would have gone back to him. I don't know how I'm going to manage for going forward. I am still in so much pain and so far from being comfortable. Before I lost my job, due to my disability, and my insurance, my PPO insurance, I was doing pretty good. Now I just feel like I'm starting all over again with my pain! I have severe neuropathy I'm losing my fine motor skills in my hands and my pain is unbearable. I am not sleeping at night because I'm in so much pain, but I will never take more than what I am prescribed of my pain meds. I do not believe in that. Hopefully when I go back in another month I will be comfortable, or we will have to discuss changing my meds once again. PPO, HMO, why can't it just be good care for all! I can't even go back to my orthopedic surgeon because I don't have PPO insurance anymore. So I can't even have that monitored. I'm crossing my fingers that my new relationship with Dr Bolnick will be one I cherish as much as I did my previous pain doctor.
