UT Health East Texas Expands Access to Care with New Facility in Tyler

Tyler, Texas (April 17, 2025) — UT Health East Texas is expanding access to healthcare with a state-of-the-art, more than 8,000-square-foot facility strategically positioned at Loop 323 and Earl Campbell Parkway in West Tyler. The new building, located across from Sam’s Club and adjacent to the new Chick-fil-A, will house an urgent care center, as well as pediatric and primary care clinics.

“This location is at the heart of Tyler’s rapid growth along the western corridor,” said Todd Hill, CEO of UT Health East Texas Physicians. “As our community expands, we remain committed to meeting the increasing demand for quality healthcare close to home. This investment ensures that families in this area have convenient access to the care they need, when they need it.”

The facility, 3753 Earl Campbell Parkway, will feature an extended-hours urgent care center, providing walk-in treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, including fever, colds, flu, and minor cuts requiring stitches. In addition, the building will house pediatric and primary care providers to support ongoing wellness and preventive care for individuals and families.

“Bringing pediatric and family medicine services to this location aligns with our mission of expanding access to primary care in a way that fits the needs of busy families,” said Steven Cox, MD, President of the University Practice Plan.

A groundbreaking ceremony for the new facility was held Thursday, April 17, and the facility is anticipated to open later this year.
