As part of UT Health East Texas, we prioritize our members’ health and fitness. We are proud to provide a safe exercise environment and aim to make visits to the UT Health Olympic Center as stress-free as possible. While we continue to navigate the current pandemic, we've implemented protocols to help minimize risks for our members, patients and employees:
Disinfecting High-Contact Areas
We are cleaning machines! All equipment and points-of-contact are disinfected multiple times a day by staff. We also ask that our members continue to wipe off equipment after each use.
Staff Screening
Our staff is working hard to make your gym visit as stress-free as possible! Olympic Center employees are screened and have their temperature checked upon arrival each day. Additionally, we continue to wear masks and disinfect equipment and points of contact multiple times per day.
Social Distancing & Masking
Social distancing is enforced and made possible by properly spacing our equipment out, limiting our group fitness class sizes and implementing capacity standards in our locker rooms. Masks must be worn by all members who are not actively exercising.Member Screening
When you enter an Olympic Center facility, you will see our screening stations. Each person entering our facility is required to answer screening questions such as “Do you have a fever?” and “Do you have a cough?” before they can continue. Temperatures also are checked upon entry.Limiting Class Sizes
To help us monitor class sizes and practice social distancing, we ask that all members pre-register for classes. Call your local Olympic Center for current class offerings.
