The neuroscience symposium is named in honor of Dr. Ronald J. Donaldson, founder of Tyler Neurosurgical Associates, in association with ETMC.

Overview

This educational activity will provide information on advanced treatments and techniques in neuroscience available for conditions such as: epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, stroke, sleep apnea, meningitis, critical care of the neuro patient and Parkinson’s disease.

Target audience

This program is designed for physicians specializing in family medicine, general practice, internal medicine, orthopedics, general surgery, vascular surgery, neurology, neurosurgery and other specialties, as well as nurses and other allied healthcare professionals who have an interest in current techniques in neuroscience care.

Objectives

To provide the learner with the newest evidence based innovations in medicine, care of the cerebral vascular patient, newest advances in interventional neuroradiology, newest approaches to palliative
care management of the neuro patient, required documentation in meeting the standards for value based health-care, medical management of the psychiatric patient exhibiting neurological symptoms, care of the post hermetic neuralgic patient and the newest updates in research in the care of the patient with Parkinson’s disease.
