Jonathan Buttram, MD, FACP, is a board-certifed allergist and immunologist who practices at UT Health North Campus Tyler. “I strive daily to provide the most up-to-date, comprehensive and practical care for my patients in an environment of integrity.”
Dr. Buttram chose to focus on allergy and immunology because the field encompasses all of his favorite aspects of internal medicine. “All areas of allergy and immunology, with focus on immunodeficiency, are appealing. I particularly enjoy evaluation and treatment of nasal symptoms, difficult-to-control asthma, chronic cough, eczema and hives/swelling.”
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth and his doctor of medicine from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta. He also completed his internal medicine residency at Wright-Patterson Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio, and his allergy and immunology fellowship at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio.
His personal interests include being an active member of his church, spending time with his family, golf, landscaping and listening to various music genres with a focus of jazz.
Dr. Buttram is employed as a clinical faculty physician at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.
