J. Leonard DeCarlo, MD, is a board-certified urologist at UT Health East Texas Urology Center in Tyler. Dr. DeCarlo came to Tyler in 1991 and has a simple care philosophy. “I believe in providing modern, scientific and up-to-date healthcare in a compassionate and patient-friendly atmosphere.”
Dr. DeCarlo became interested in healthcare because his father was a physician. “I have found a career in helping people by providing care for adult men and women above the age 16.”
Dr. DeCarlo enjoys model aircraft, cycling and playing games of all kinds.
Dr. DeCarlo is employed as a clinical faculty physician at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.

Mostly great experiences! We are all human and every now and then we encounter somebody who is a little bit cold and not very nice, but for the most part quality physicians, nurses and staff with excellent bedside manner.

Dr DeCarlo is always through and friendly good guy ... this time blood nurse was kinda wild ... arm is still red/blue/yellow today July 10th ... never had it that long

Dr. Decarlo's office is well run. Dr. Decarlo is friendly and puts the patient at ease. I feel that he listens to what I have to say and allows input about my treatment. All of the nurses have been very efficient and kind.
