Andrew F. Navetta, MD, is a board-certified urologist at UT Health East Texas Urology Center in Tyler. A Tyler native, Dr. Navetta’s care philosophy is simple. “I strive to treat my patients like I would want my family to be treated – kindly, courteously and in accordance with the latest urology literature and with the latest technology.” Dr. Navetta wasn’t exposed to urology until later in medical school, but said he fell in love with it immediately. “It is a focused specialty, but with a broad array of surgeries. It allows me to establish long-term relationships with patients, which I love.” Dr. Navetta enjoys spending time with his family on the lake as well as hunting and fishing.

I live in Longview, TX and had used a local Urologist for several years. I had trouble getting lab results and also a bad experience having my blood drawn. I decided to search for a new Urologist and I looked at the UT Tyler website. I had never heard of Dr. Navetta but the information about him sounded like what I was looking for. The very first visit was impressive. Dr. Navetta examined me and explained the results. I then went to the lab for a very painless and professional blood draw. I was given results the next day which showed a very high PSA of 9.28. This led to a biopsy which showed that I had Prostate Cancer. My care at UT has been great and I give the entire organization a great recommendation. I have since had Radiation treatments at Texas Oncology in Longview and my PSA is now .011

Dr. Navetta did my prostrate removal …. I must say, he is very considerate and genuinely concerned and has been throughout the whole process. If I knew someone going through this process I would certainly recommend Dr. Navetta.

Dr. Navetta is an excellent urologist; he is very professional and takes the time to listen and talk to his patients. I recently had a cystoscopy done at his office, I had read that this procedure can be very painful, I did not feel any discomfort at all during the procedure. I highly recommend Dr. Navetta and I am extremely grateful to him and his staff for providing me with such caring and compassionate care the last several months.
