Nghia Truong, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician at the UT Health East Texas Physicians on Fifth Street in Tyler. In his practice, Dr. Truong makes it a personal goal to form strong relationships with his patients and their families. “When I get to know my patients, I understand where they’re coming from, so I am able to give them better care.”
Dr. Truong has practiced medicine at UT Health East Texas since 1997. Although he is not originally from East Texas, his time spent living in Tyler has given him the ability to make connections with his local patients, cultivating the relationships necessary for him to successfully care for his patients. “I really like seeing my patients get better. I feel rewarded every day.”
Dr. Truong is employed as a clinical faculty physician at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.

Dr. Truong treated me as a person and listened to my concerns and gave me a thorough physical examination. He is not only concern with my current health, but gives me ideas to preventive medicial care. Dr Truong always answers my concerns either in person or through messaging. He shows true concern for my health.

Dr. N. Truong has been my doctor for the past 6 years. I left my doctor in Canton, Tx.and started seeing Dr. Truong. I liked the receptionist. They were very helpful and friendly. Dr. Truong doesn't rush you through your appointment. Answers questions and is very kind and knowledgeable. He saw me through a mini stroke and a very bad fall that put me in the hospital with bleeding in my brain, my right eye bleeding and a broken elbow. Saw him for care afterwards, and specialists he sent me to.
Very glad he is my primary doctor. Highly recommend this UT office. Jo Ann J.

The best doctor ever. I am a new patient and Dr. Truong makes me feel like we have known each other for a long time and are the best of friends. My daughter started going to Dr. Truong several years ago and encouraged me to go to him as well since my doctor had retired. A very positive move that I made. Dr. Truong is always so kind and caring and very interested in what one has to say. I highly recommend Dr. Truong. He is a wonderful doctor.
