UT Health East Texas Physicians Whitehouse - Family Medicine
8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Michael Racs, DO, MBA, is a board-certified family medicine physician at UT Health East Texas Physicians in Whitehouse who sees patients one year and older. He also served as Lieutenant Commander of the Medical Corps in the United States Navy.
“I chose to pursue healthcare because I wanted to do something challenging that has positive impact on people’s lives. I wanted to be on the front lines of care, to provide services to all age ranges. Family medicine provides a connection with the patient that no other specialty can. There is a long-term bond with patients and their families, sharing good and hard times, almost as part of the family.”
When not seeing patients, Dr. Racs enjoys hiking, cycling, golf, riding motorcycles and spending time with his children.
Dr. Racs is employed as a clinical faculty physician at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.
