Savitha Shastry, MD, is a board-certified endocrinologist at UT Health East Texas Physicians North Campus Tyler – Internal Medicine, Gerontology, and Endocrinology Clinic. “I really enjoy helping patients get their health issues under control before any complications arise, or they develop other medical conditions.”
“Endocrinology is the study of hormones, and the majority of people I see have diabetes, problems with their thyroid and occasionally certain rare conditions associated with the pituitary and the adrenal glands. I enjoy getting to know my patients and providing guidance so they become healthier and more successful in their goals. Helping patients live their healthiest life is what makes my job rewarding, and why I love what I do.”
Dr. Shastry is employed as a clinical faculty physician at The University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.
