About Ivette Guttmann, MD
“I prioritize every patient’s treatment plan with the same empathy and care I would provide to my own family,” said Dr. Guttmann. “My goal is to listen, understand and help people of all ages get back to doing what they love whether thatโs sports, outdoor activities or chasing after grandkids.”
“I was drawn to medicine after losing loved ones early in life and seeing the power of compassionate care. Sports have been a part of my life since I was six, and injuries taught me firsthand what itโs like to be sidelined. That experience helps me truly connect with my patients.
“Sports medicine isnโt just for athletes. Itโs for anyone with an active lifestyle. From kids with broken bones to seniors managing arthritis, I offer personalized treatment plans that focus on safe recovery, movement and long-term wellness. I take time to help patients understand the “why” behind their injury, whether itโs a sprain, strain or chronic condition. My goal is to provide clear guidance, support healing and prevent future issues so patients feel empowered, informed and confident on their journey back to health,” she said.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Guttmann enjoys playing many sports, especially football, golf, mountain biking, road biking, pickleball and paddleboarding. In addition to English, she is fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Guttmann is employed as a clinical faculty physician at The University of Texas at Tyler Health Science Center under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.
