Todd Hendrickson, DO, is a family medicine physician at UT Health East Texas Physicians in Jacksonville and sees patients of all ages. He was born and raised in East Texas where he grew up around the medical field. He has wanted to become a doctor since he was 5 years old.
“I enjoy helping others and I love learning. I chose family medicine as a way to take care of families. I apply the osteopathic principle of taking care of the patient as a whole through mind, body and spirit. The patient is a partner on the healthcare team. They can only be led to health, not forced into it. Family physicians are there to act as a guide,” he said.
Dr. Hendrickson is fluent in Spanish and lived two years in South America. He enjoys computers and technology, cooking and volunteering.
Dr. Hendrickson is employed as a clinical faculty physician at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.

Dr. Hendrickson is terrific! He doesn't just look at you and tell you what's wrong, he actually listens to you and what you are feeling.
He and his staff went out of their way on a couple of occasions to help me when I had a ruptured disk in my back that was causing significant pain. It really helped speed up the process of getting through the MRI, dealing with insurance, etc. to finally get where I could have surgery. They saved me weeks of pain!

Doctor Hendrickson became my primary care provider after my previous provider went into private practice. I am very thankful to have found him. His bedside manner is remarkable. He makes me feel like an equal and actually shakes my hand. I’ve never felt the emotional disconnect that I have with other physicians. With his support and genuine care I no longer need several medications I had been taking for years. He has been instrumental in my fight with alcoholism and my new found sobriety. He is one of the good ones. Thank you Doctor Hendrickson.
