Dr. Julie Philley is the executive vice president, health affairs, for The University of Texas at Tyler. She studied medicine at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, completed her Internal Medicine residency in Baltimore, Maryland at Johns Hopkins University/Sinai Hospital program, and her fellowship at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. She is board certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. She is a native East Texan growing up in Overton and returned to Tyler in 2012 to continue her research efforts in nontuberculous mycobacterial disease and bronchiectasis. Her other academic pursuits include advancing educational opportunities in healthcare and epidemiology of mycobacterial disease in the state of Texas.
Dr. Philley is employed as a clinical faculty physician at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Tyler under the UT Tyler School of Medicine.
